What this password generator does

This tool creates random passwords in your browser using the Web Crypto API. You choose the length and character sets, and the generated value is written only into the page you are viewing. It is useful when you need a strong password for a new account, a test credential for QA, or a temporary secret that should not be reused elsewhere.

The safest pattern is to generate a long password, store it in a password manager, and never type it manually. Human-made passwords tend to contain words, keyboard patterns, dates, names, and substitutions that attackers already expect. Random passwords avoid that entire class of guesses.

How to use it safely

Keep all four character groups enabled unless a site rejects a specific symbol.
Use at least 16 characters for ordinary accounts and 24 or more for sensitive accounts.
Copy the result directly into a password manager.
Generate a different password for every service.
If a site forces weak rules, compensate with extra length.

Entropy, length and character sets

Password strength is mostly about how many possible values an attacker must search. A 20-character password drawn from upper-case letters, lower-case letters, digits and symbols has far more possible combinations than a memorable phrase with predictable substitutions. Length matters more than visual complexity: a longer random password using letters and digits is usually stronger than a short password full of punctuation.

The "avoid ambiguous characters" option removes characters that are easy to confuse when copied visually, such as zero and capital O. That is helpful for printed credentials or shared test cases, but it reduces the alphabet slightly, so use more length when you enable it.

Privacy and limitations

Generation happens locally. Pressing Generate does not call EmailGenerator.pro or any third-party service. The page cannot know whether you save the password correctly, whether malware is watching your clipboard, or whether the site later stores it safely. Do not paste real production passwords into chat, issue trackers, shared documents, or temporary email messages.

Browser-only processing

Password Generator runs as plain JavaScript inside this page using the browser's own Web Crypto and text APIs where the tool needs randomness or hashing. There is no request to our server when you press the tool buttons, so nothing you enter leaves your device through EmailGenerator.pro.

Privacy note

No input is sent anywhere by the tool. It operates entirely in your browser tab. You can verify this by opening the browser's network inspector and running the tool: execution does not create an outbound request.

No. The password is generated in your browser tab and is not sent to the server.

What length should I use?

Use at least 16 characters for normal accounts. Use 24 or more for important accounts or shared administrative credentials.

Should I reuse a generated password?

No. Reuse turns one breach into many account compromises. Generate and store a unique password for each service.
