German visitors often use Wegwerf-E-Mail for download gates and trial registrations, where data minimisation is a habit rather than an afterthought.

    Local notes

    • GDPR data-minimisation principles align well with disposable addresses: give out only what the transaction actually requires.
    • Amtliche Dienste, banking, insurance and Elster-style portals require a permanent address.
    • German-language mail with umlauts and ISO-8859-1 encoding is converted to UTF-8 during parsing and displays correctly.
    • Nothing is retained after expiry — messages and attachments are deleted, not archived.

    What is identical everywhere

Address generation, the 60-minute expiry, HTML sanitisation, blocked remote images and the receive-only restriction do not vary by country. There are no regional inboxes and no local data centres — this is one service with one set of rules.
