Instagram uses the same underlying infrastructure as Facebook and applies very similar email validation. How Instagram's signup works with disposable email
Instagram's signup form accepts some disposable domains that Facebook would reject at the equivalent step. The user has invested time in the registration, possibly already used the account to follow people or post, and then hits a verification wall with no way out. This is worse than an immediate rejection — it wastes more time and leaves data associated with an inaccessible account.
